Piston valve is used to control the flow of fluid through pipes. Opening & closing of piston valves works on linear & rotary motion of piston within the body. Piston valves are seatless & glandless in design therefore they have some advantage over gate valves & globe valves. In piston valve seal rings are most important component for tight shut off.
